Hi, I’m Carrie
Mum of 1, Owner, Certified Personal Trainer and Online Coach at NuBodyMind.
Let me tell you about my story.
As a mother myself, I empathise with the physical and emotional struggles many women face. Witnessing your body and performance change during pregnancy and childbirth can be difficult.
The internet often provides conflicting advice about what’s safe during pregnancy. General guidelines may not take into account your unique situation or training variables, simply labeling movements as ‘safe’ or ‘unsafe’.
I believe each person’s journey is unique, which is why I tailor my support to you and your body’s needs during pregnancy, postnatal, and beyond. I aim to equip you with the necessary tools for a healthy and fit pregnancy, helping you step into this exciting phase of life confidently.
I strive to offer more than bullet points. I’m here to provide reliable guidance throughout your pregnancy and postpartum, empowering you to be strong for motherhood.
My approach is focused on long-term health and performance, rather than just aesthetics. When I found out I was pregnant, I exercised with a different goal in mind. I was training for motherhood: preparing for sleepless nights, the hormonal marathon of caring for a baby, and performing daily activities without pain or dysfunction.
Following childbirth, we often receive little guidance on recovery. Yet, the reality is that we perform physically demanding tasks while trying to rest, heal, and care for our babies.
Two days after my Caesarean operation, I was carrying my son in his car seat and rushing around the Emergency room at 3 a.m. Despite squatting, bending, lifting, and carrying, no one could believe that I had just had a Caesarean operation two days prior. Although I had no choice at the time, I believe that building a strong foundation before and during my pregnancy allowed me to carry that strength into postpartum and motherhood.
My goal is to provide all mothers with quality coaching during this chapter of their lives.
You don’t have to settle for general guidelines that restrict you from doing what you love!
You are not broken after having a baby and you don’t have to accept “normal” postpartum discomfort!
You can absolutely become stronger and a better version of yourself after childbirth!
I provide quality coaching to navigate the physical changes and challenges of motherhood.
